TemBreak2 is the Ultimate Safety Breaker. It has specifications which exceed international standards for safety. Direct opening action - recommended by IEC standards for machinery safety - is a feature of most models. A unique safety lock system for plug-in MCCBs ensures that the MCCB cannot carry current while being fitted or removed.
10 Reasons to Use TemBreak 2

Accessories can be fitted by the switchboard builder or added by the end-user. All internal accessories are common for TemBreak 2 MCCBs. External operating handles and motor operators can be rapidly fitted using the locking pegs. It takes less than 10 seconds to secure a handle or motor to theMCCB – a great time saving compared to alternative products. All accessories are endurance tested to the same level as the hostMCCB. |
The plug-in MCCB is locked to the base when the toggle is ON. It cannot be removed unless the toggle is OFF or TRIPPED. The safety lock prevents a trip occurring as the MCCB is being removed from the base. | Door cutout patterns for external operating external operating handles are symmetrical, even when breakers are mounted in opposite directions. |
All TemBreak 2 MCCBs are fully rated for use at 50ºC. Overheating is the most common cause of failure in electrical switchgear. You can reduce the likelihood of overheating by using switchgear with superior temperature performance. |
All current ratings up to 630A can be supplied in 2 sizes: the 250A and 630A sizes. |

The mechanical interlock is installed on the front of the MCCB, and is compatible with motor operators and external operating handles. An automatic changeover system can be assembled in a few minutes by a switchboard builder or end-user. |
Under the heading “Measures to minimise the risk in the event of failure”, IEC 60204-1 Safety of Machinery-Electrical Equipment of Machinery includes the following recommendation: “-the use of switching devices having positive (or direct) opening operation.” |
8. UNSURPASSED FLEXIBILITY | 9. CUSTOMISED TRIPPING TIMES | 10. VISUAL SAFETY |

Overload protection is adjustable between 63% and 100% of the rating. Short-circuit protection is adjustable on all thermal magnetic models. Short-circuit protection settings are suitable for motor starting on all models, including the compact 125A frame. | If you require a characteristic which is not available as a preset on our electronic protection unit, send us the details and we will program a customised characteristic to suit your application. (Within certain limits - Contact us for details). | Coloured indicators display the ON or OFF status. The indicators are fully covered if the breaker trips, and black is the only visible colour. |

Accessories for Molded Case Circuit Breaker
Alarm Switch
- Alarm switch provides an electrical indication that the breaker is in a tripped state
Auxiliary Switch
- Auxiliary switch provides an electrical indication that the breaker is in a ON or OFF state
Shunt Trip
- Electrically trips the breaker open from a remote location
Undervoltage trip device
Undervoltage trip device trips the breaker open when the voltage of the power distribution line lowers. This devices can also be used to trip the breaker open from a remote location.
Motor Operation
Motor operation allows electrical operation (closing, opening, and resetting) of the breaker
Toggle Extension
- Toggle extension lessens the force require to close, open, or reset the breaker. (Applicable to breaker with a frame size of 600A or larger)
Toggle holder
- Toggle holder is simply fitting the toggle holder onto the breaker toggle disables breaker operation without using padlocks.
Toggle Lock
- Toggle lock is a tool that locks the breaker on or off. When an overcurrent occurs, the breaker will trip even if the breaker toggle is locked in the ON position.
Over-current Release
- OCR allows you to achieve a wide range of protection simply by setting two dials located on the front of the breakers; one for selecting the rated current and the other for selecting a protection characteristic. Coming standard with seven protection characteristics, the OCR provides optimum selective coordination between upstream breakers and downstream breakers and/or loads.
External Operating Handles
- The external operating handle is a tool that allows the breaker installed in a switchboard to be operated from outside and complies with IEC 60204-1
- The breaker mounted type external operating handle is designed to be mounted directly to the breaker body
- The panel mounted type external operating handle is designed to keeps the panel door locked when in the ON position. There are two types, RESET – Open and OFF – Open.
Terminal cover
- Terminal covers prevent live parts of the breaker from being exposed to the external environment. There are three types of terminal covers available: CF for front-connected breakers, CR for rear-connected and plug-in breakers, and CS for front-connected breakers with cable clamps.
- CF for front-connected breakers
- CR for rear-connected and plug-in breakers
- CS for front-connected breakers with cable clamps
Interpoles Barrier
- Interpole barrier serve to enhance electrical insulation between poles and prevent short-circuit due to electrically conductive foreign matter. Combined use of interpole barriers and terminal covers is not possible.
Terminal Block
- Terminal block is terminates lead wires from internally mounted accessories.
Mechanical Interlock
- Mechanical interlock provides an interlock that allows one of two breakers to be closed.
Door Flange
- Door flange are recommended to used to cover the cutout of a switchboard panel.
DIN rail adaptor
- DIN rail adaptor allows the breaker to be mounted on DIN rails.
